Charles Ray Barnes, 80, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 in Crosby, Texas. He was born on August 15, 1937 in Houston, Texas to Edward Augustus and Mary Elizabeth Barnes. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Barnes; his brothers, Johnny Leroy Barnes and Marion Edward Barnes. Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 50 years of marriage, Marie Barnes; his sons, James E. Barnes and his wife Cheryl, Richard R. Barnes and his wife Ginger and Carl A. Barnes; his grandchildren James E. Barnes, Jr., Charles R. Barnes, II, Keturah Tinsley, David L. Barnes, Mallory Hall, Melissa Walthour and Michael Walthour; nine great grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Ragen and Ree Cannino and numerous nieces, nephews relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 5-8PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Glendale Memorial Cemetery in Trinity, Texas.
