Charles Edward Carroll

Charles Edward Carroll was born on December 26, 1960 in Houston, TX. He was the eighth child born to the late Rudolph and Merdis Carroll. Charles was educated at Phylis Wheatley High School in the Houston Independent School District. He went on to work for HISD for many years at Reagan High School and Contemporary Learning Center. Charles was very loving, caring, and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family and was usually the life of the family get-togethers and parties. He was constantly telling jokes and making people laugh. In addition, Charles was very compassionate and served as caregiver to sick family members. He cared for his mother and sister with great patience and love when they were very ill before their passing. He made sure they were comfortable and well cared for until their final moments with us. Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rudolph and Merdis Carroll, brothers Darrell and James Carroll, and sister Beverly Ann Carroll. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Mark Jackson; sisters Jerry Malone of Oakland, CA, Brenda Johnson, and Anita Carroll; brother Jimmy Carroll; sisters-in-law Carolyn Carroll and Mary Carroll; special extended family members Rosie Lee Tucker, Brenda Hancock, Alvin Earl Landry, Mary Landry, Deloris Landry, and Betty Landry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
