

Charles Lee Clauder, beloved husband, father, grandfather and pillar of his community, passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 85 at his home in Houston, TX. Born on October 29, 1938, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unwavering dedication to his family.
Married to his devoted wife, Diana Lynn Kotch Clauder, for 58 years, Charles was the epitome of a loving and committed husband. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories, overcoming life’s challenges hand-in-hand.
Charles is survived by his wife, two daughters, Kelly Soliz and her husband, Ben Soliz; and Cari Rodriguez and her husband, Juan Rodriguez; grandchildren, Brandon Tague and his wife Amanda Tague, Justin Tague, Connor Rodriguez, Ava Rodriguez and Amber Butcher; great-grandchildren, Chad Tague, Zoe Tague, Ashton Tague, Haylie Dean and Danny Butcher; Sisters, Diane Colston and her husband, Basil Colston and Kaye Shubert and her husband, Dennis Shubert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Earl Clauder and Zella Mae Clauder; brother, Don Clauder; daughter, DeAnna Otto and grandson, Glenn Bokemeyer.
Graduating from Jeff Davis High School in 1957, he was very proud of his upbringing as a “north-side Houston boy.” Professionally, Charles dedicated 22 years of his life to Sunbeam Bakery before venturing out to pursue his own passion. He founded Cloud-Air AC and heating business, where he poured his heart and soul into providing quality service to his community.
After retiring, he continued with a servant’s heart volunteering at The Angel House Stained Glass Ministry at Cypress United Methodist Church where he served for more than 10 years.
Throughout his life, Charles was known for his kindness, generosity, and infectious smile. His warm presence and genuine concern for others touched the lives of all who knew him. A true family man, Charles prioritized the well-being and happiness of his loved ones above all else.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he left behind. May he rest in eternal peace in the arms of his Lord and Savior.
A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Charles on March 22, 2024 at Cypress United Methodist Church, 13403 Cypress N Houston, Cypress, TX 77429 at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow.
