Charles Elliott Knott

Charles Elliott Knott, 77, passed away on October 31, 2016 in Alvin, TX. He was born March 12, 1939 in Greenville, TX to Clifford and O’Dell Knott. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and O’ Dell Knott and his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Dorothy Parlette. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He received his Doctor of Juris Prudence from Texas Tech University, at Lubbock, TX. While at Texas Tech, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta which is a law fraternity. He was a veteran of the US Airforce. Elliott served as a Captain in the US Airforce and performed his duty in Turkey and Germany. He married Myrleen Elaine (Parlette) on May 31, 1975. He worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Collin County, Liberty County and Brazoria County. Elliott is survived by his beloved wife, Myrleen (Parlette) Knott. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Darleen Gibson; niece, Kayleen Lambie and her husband, Andrew Lambie; nephew, Christian and his wife Jennifer, their children, John and Lauren; nephew, Gary Gibson and his wife Leslie, their children, Katherine and Elizabeth; his brother-in-law, John Parlette and his wife Janis; his nephew, Christopher; niece, Katherine Hunter and her husband Brent and their daughters, Emery and Ellis Hunter. He is also survived by his Aunt Jane Robertson of Van Alystne, TX as well many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Elliott was an enormous lover of animals and is the beloved dad of Little Girl, Heidi, Curry and Ike. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Ann Huston of St. Mark Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christian Gibson, Gary Gibson, Andrew Lambie, Christopher Parlette and George DeVine.
