

Lee graduated from Lamar High School, class of 1969. In the fall of 1969, he joined the U.S. Army where he served until the spring of 1972. He was stationed in Korea as well as Germany. Upon his discharge from the service, he returned to Texas where he attended Southwest Texas University, and the University of Houston; graduating from the latter institution with a Bachelors degree in Business. Continuing his education, Lee entered Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude with the degree of Juris Doctor.
In the early 1980’s Lee opened his practice of law as a criminal defense attorney, which he continued until his recent retirement.
Lee will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He will be remembered fondly for his storytelling, sense of humor, love of animals, and infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his father. Lee is survived by his mother; by his wife, Caren Bray McCallister; sisters, Lois McCallister, and Nancy Brown; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Doslich, and Robin (David) Ragland; three nieces, three nephews, and one great nephew.
Family and friends will gather to visit and celebrate Lee’s life, Saturday, October 8, 2016 from two to four p.m. at
Heights Funeral Home
1317 Heights Blvd
Houston, Texas 77008.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
