Charles Bud-Rat "Buddy" Ratliff

Buddy owned and operated his family business, Big 10 Tire, in Houston, Tx for 33 years. Bud-Rat, as many knew him always enjoyed serving his customers and making friends with everyone that graced his doors. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed his family and friends and loved to fish.

Buddy is preceded in death by his parents Murray Ratliff and Josie Ratliff Coates, 8 siblings and one great-grandson. Buddy is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Carolyn Ratliff, Brother Steve Ratliff, Daughter Cindy Ratliff Sorum and husband Skip; Son Pete Ratliff and wife Kathy, Son Mike Ratliff and wife Kim, and Son Chris Ratliff; Grandchildren Michelle Harmon, Brian Hardin, Chay Ratliff, Chelsey Ratliff Meneses, Brandi Ratliff, Buddy Ratliff, Nicholas Ratliff, Jessica Ratliff and Clayton Ratliff, as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services were held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4.
