

CHARLES JOSEPH WALKOVIAK, age 71, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Tomball, Texas. Charles grew up in the Heights and attended Reagan High School. In 1968, he married Vernell Leitko. Charles was employed for many years by GE, where he was in charge of switchboard assembly, until retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, small engine repair, watching old movies, and spending time in the country. Charles had a deep love for his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Cundiff. Charles is survived by his former wife and friend, Vernell; his two children, Yvette Perrodin and husband Todd and Jason Walkoviak and wife Andie; grandchildren, Austin and Noah Perrodin; brother, Jerome Walkoviak; nieces, Karen Gardner and Amanda Broz and nephews, Kenny Broz, Chandler Broz, Jonathan Gardner and Jared Gardner, in addition to 2 great-nephews. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church; 10135 West Rd. Houston, TX. Rite of Committal will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
