

Clair Lynn Keng, known to most as Lynn, age 75, passed away on February 16, 2024. Born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of Clarence and Evelyn Keng. Lynn dedicated her life to education, her family and friends, and the well-being of feline companions.
Lynn is survived by her loving family, including her brothers Charles Keng and John Keng and his wife Eileen, and her twin sister Mary Ann McIntyre and her husband Dennis. She was a cherished aunt to nieces Natalie Keng, Renee Robinson and her husband Lonnie, Kari Sezonov and her husband Chris, Victoria Keng, and Elisa Pittman and her husband Clint. Lynn's impact extended to multiple great nieces and great nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart - Geoffrey Keng-Curtis, Brittany Dean (Shawna), Skyler Sandlin, Spencer Sezonov, Addison Sezonov, Jarrod Cain, Jonathan Cain (Yadira), Adaline Cain, Linda Cain (Austin), Andrew Hancock, Cade Pittman (Lauren), Camden Pittman, Grant Pittman, Garryn Pittman. Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Keng, as well as her great niece Emily Pittman and great nephew Joshua Keng, Lynn leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. Her warm spirit and generous heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Spring Branch High School in 1967 (“Once a bear, always a bear!”), Lynn continued her academic journey at Blinn College and Sam Houston State University, ultimately earning a Masters of Education. Her passion for teaching led her to various school districts around the Houston area, where she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and dedication.
Beyond her contributions to education, Lynn was a dedicated advocate for feline welfare. She worked tirelessly with various cat rescues, aiding in adoptions, fostering cats, and bottle-feeding numerous kittens. Her commitment to the well-being of these animals reflected her compassionate nature and touched the lives of both human and feline friends alike.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Volunteers for Animal Protection (https://vapadoptions.org/donate), a cause that held a special place in Lynn's heart, or Grace Lutheran Church in Conroe, TX.
A visitation to celebrate Lynn's life will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A committal service will occur Friday, February 23, 2024 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at Historic Hollywood Cemetery, 3506 N Main St, Houston, TX 77009. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Clair are invited to attend and share their fond memories.
