

Colin Thomas Miller, known as Oupa, 95, of Waterfall Hills Estates, South Africa, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, while visiting family in Texas. He now joins his loved ones who went before him.
Born between the great wars in England, Colin survived World War II as a young boy, sleeping under the staircase with his younger sister. He began his career as a draftsman in London, and in his early 20s, he relocated to South Africa, where he built a successful career as a business owner in commercial construction.
Colin was a cherished and active member of the Waterfall Hills Estates community, where he found joy and friendships in croquet and other activities. Colin was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Miller, his partner, Lynn Davis, his sisters, Kath Forrester and Dorothy Witterick, and his brothers, Bill, George, and Jim.
He is survived by his only daughter, Ann Louw, his grandchildren, Antoinette and David, and his granddaughter-in-law, Aldora. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Waterfall Hills community for their love and support, with a special thank you to Una, his friend and croquet coordinator.
Colin never met a stranger, his wit, sense of humor, warmth, resilience, and love for community will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all his friends around the world.
