T. Dale Whitmarsh, 73. Our beloved father, brother, and friend passed away on April 23, 2014. He was born on March 9, 1941 in Houston, Texas. He attended Milby High School and The University of Houston with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began working at General Electric and was able to enjoy world travel from 1963 to 1980. After that, he became a consultant for many companies until his retirement in 1995. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sons Dwayne Whitmarsh of Austin TX, Darren Whitmarsh, and Doug Whitmarsh of League City TX and daughter Dayna Mills of Georgetown TX; siblings Robbie Cope of Vilonia AK, Larry Whitmarsh of Slidell LA, and Calvin Whitmarsh of Austin TX; grandchildren Leah and Kari Whitmarsh of League City TX, Alex and Bailee Whitmarsh of Friendswood TX, and Ryder and Masyn Mills of Georgetown TX. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Roberta. A visitation will be held at Forrest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston on Monday April 28, 2014 from 5 to 9 p.m. The memorial service will be at the same location on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
