

Daniel attended Corpus Christi Catholic School in Houston from kindergarten through 8th grade. He attended Pope John XXIII Catholic High School in Katy, Texas and graduated in 2011. He was involved in several extracurricular activities, including football and was elected Homecoming King during his senior year. Daniel was extensively involved in the Boy Scouts of America from the time he was in elementary school through high school. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout when he was 15 years old and earned 3 Eagle Palms and 50 merit badges. He was elected to the highest ranking leadership position in a troop, which is Senior Patrol Leader, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church’s Troop 505. He was awarded the Ad Altaire Dei from the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese.
Daniel enrolled at the University of Houston and graduated with a B.S. from the Conrad Hilton College in 2015. He went to work for Omni Hotels, in various positions at Omni - Galleria and Omni - Westside. Daniel also assisted at other hotels in the Omni family, including facilities in Louisville, Kentucky and the Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Memorial Hermann Hospital- Cypress, as Assistant Director of Environmental Services. Daniel had a large group of employees who reported to him, but he never considered himself a “boss”. He thought of himself as just a team leader of a great group of co-workers.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Ron and Katrina, and his younger siblings, sister Mary and brother Paul. He is also survived by his grandmother Effie Faola Dickson of Beckley WV, his aunt Mari Ellen Angelo of Houston, his uncle Roger Campodonico, of Houston, his uncle Bruce DeLon of Beckley, WV., aunt and uncle Josie and Anthony Deaver, his great-uncle and great-aunt Tom and Cheryl Fowler of Lake Jackson, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lucille and Marco Campodonico of Houston, his aunt Mary Rebecca Campodonico of Houston, and William Charles DeLon of San Antonio.
Daniel was loved and appreciated by his family and an extensive network of friends and co-workers. He will be remembered as a kind, humorous, gentle and thoughtful man. Daniel’s thoughtful and caring attitude would have carried him well in life and would have helped him to achieve his dreams. He will be missed by all who knew him, but will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever.
Daniel will be interred at the Forest Park Westheimer cemetary in a private service.
