David Cuevas

David's love and passion for life inspired many. He was an avid fisherman, hard worker, teacher and friend. He loved to dance, was adventurous, and had a great sense of humor. Most of all, David was the most loving and compassionate son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was married to his loving wife, Diane Cuevas in 2001; together they had 6 children.

David is preceded in death by his father, Gavino Cuevas Valdez; and sister, Neri De La Rosa. He is survived by his wife, Diane Cuevas; and children, Angela Marie Cuevas, Maria Del Socorro Cuevas (Omar Guia), David Cuevas Jr. (Natalee Cuevas), Abel Angel Cuevas (Allison Cuevas), Kellie Michelle Thomas (Adrine Thomas), and Richard Valdez Jr. He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandchildren, Romeo and Ava Guia, David Cuevas III, Katelynn and Brooklynn Walker, Chance Smith, Katelynn Thomas, and Joshua Valdez.

He is also survived by four sisters, five brothers, numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, and a host of additional loved ones who will share in his memory as well.

A celebration of life service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 1 PM.
