David Lee West, Sr.

Sunrise. Sunset January 25, 1944 May 27, 2014 Rembering David Lee West Sr. David Lee West, born January 25, 1944 to late General David West and Gazelle West in San Francisco, California. He was the only child in that union, he had a step-sister Grace Burleson (deceased) and a brother Darrell West. He was preceded in death by his son David Lee West Jr. David Lee traveled between California and Texas for several years, where he lived with his son Gregory & family and daughter Monica. He worked for the Federal Government for several years where he retired early from the V.A. Hospital in San Francisco, Ca after the passing of his mother. He also served in the U.S. Army and Air Force where he received an honorable discharge, and receiving awards as well. David leaves to cherish his loving son Gregory Charles West (Inglewood, CA) daughters Monica Soraya West (Houston, TX) and Kendra D. West (Lafayette, Louisiana). He leaves to cherish, wonderful grandchildren, Unique Luv West, Christopher Bryant Harper, China Mulford, Soraya Mone' Harper, a nephew, extended family members and life long friends.
