Dianne Carol Knotts Knox, fondly known to friends and relatives as "Debo," was born to the union of Andrew Lee and Iris Lea Knotts on December 21, 1950. She received her early education in Houston, Texas, and graduated from M. C. Williams High School where she was selected as "Miss M. C. Williams." Dianne's passion for educating, equipping, and empowering children led her to pursue and receive a degree in education from Prairie View A&M University. She motivated and inspired many students in the Houston Independent School District as a teacher for 18 years. She later served the Aldine School District as an associate teacher. Dianne joined and was baptized at the age of 13 at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church. She took pride and often boasted of being the first member who was baptized by Reverend S. J. Gilbert, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Iris Knotts and her brother Charles B. Knotts. Her memory is dearly cherished by her devoted husband, Emerson Knox, Sr., her faithful daughter, Army Specialist, Brittney Dianne Knox, stepson, Emerson Knox, Jr., nieces Morgan Knotts and Tashi Hickman, nephew, Christian Knotts, uncle and aunts Calvin and Earnestine Knotts and Romona McCain. Others cherishing her memories are brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law, James and Gloria Davis, Vernon and Chandra Wright and Carlton Wright, a life long friend, Casandria Jones and other relatives and friends.
