On September 8, 1953, a baby boy was born to Edward Charles Nowling and Lola Belle Nowling. They named him Donald Ray Nowling. He grew up in the Fifth Ward area. Donald attended E. O. Smith Middle School and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1973. Donald Ray Nowling was preceded in death by his father Edward Charles Nowling; brothers Edmond Roy Nowling, James Edward Nowling and Mitchell Nowling. He leaves to cherish his loving memories mother Lola Belle Nowling; two sons Ulerick Fields and Reginald Strauter (Amanda); one step son Uland Fields (Kim); one step daughter Ursula Wilson; brothers Tommie Lewis, Billie Lewis, Cornelius Nowling and Jimmy Nowling; sister Joyce Lewis; his best friend Reverend Larry White; uncle Melvin Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
