Donna Lynn Mitchell

Donna Lynn Mitchell was born March 2, 1951 in Houston, Texas. The fourth of nine children born to the union of Rev. Harold R. Mitchell and Frances Jones Mitchell. She was baptized by the late W.E. Walker of Mt. Sanai Baptist Church at an early age. Donna was a 1969 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She served as Miss Football Queen for the Booker T. Washington War Eagles. She also attended Massey Business College. She went on to work for Conoco Oil Company for 24 years. Donna participated in the community with Yale Victoria Civic Club, Super Neighborhood, and B.T. Washington Alumni. Donna departed this life on April 30, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Jones Mitchell; three brothers, Harold R. Mitchell, Jr., Charles E. Mitchell, Darrell A. Mitchell; one sister, Kimberly R. Mitchell and her grandparents Harvey and Mary JOnes and Efford and Ellena Mitchell. She is survived by children, Patrick Linn Mitchell, Donnica F. Mitchell, and Brandon Royce Mitchell; Father, Rev. Harold R. Mitchell, Sr., three brothers, Gerald W. Mitchell (Diane), Gregory D. Mitchell, Christopher D. Mitchell (Bernice), one sister Anissa D. Mitchell and a host of nieces, relatives and friends.
