On March 6, 1934, God blessed the world with a precious baby girl. This baby was born to Mr. Roy & Mrs. Ida Lee Laventon. They named her Doris Marie Laventon. Doris received her formal education from the local high school in Marlin, Texas where she graduated valedictorian of her class. Thereafter she became an entreprenuer and business owner. To stay active after retirement, Doris worked for North Forest ISD as a crossing guard. Doris served in her community and loved helping others in any way she could. She gave many people counseling and a place to call home. She told as many people as she could about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The angel of the Lord visited Doris beckoning her to come on home to her new address. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and sister Christine.
