Elizabeth Michelle Clouser

Elizabeth Michelle “Mickey” Clouser, age 68, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021 at Memorial Hermann Medical Center Hospital after a year long illness. She was born April 22, 1953 in Augsburg, Germany to Lt. Col Major and Elizabeth Strum who preceded her in death. Mickey was baptized into the Catholic faith.

She attended Cullen Middle School, San Jacinto High School and graduated from University of Houston.

A dedicated employee, Mickey began her career early at Robinson and Son’s Realty, University of Houston Small Business Development Center, and Jack Yates Sr. High School. Her dream assignment at the University of Texas Department of Surgery as Executive Services Administrator to Dr. Richard Andrassy, was the high point of her professional career. She loved her job.

Mickey ran marathons for 10 years. She was also dedicated to serving others and participated with her friend Loretta preparing personal baskets for women displaced in life at Places of New Beginnings and The Landing community organizations.

Mickey loved Heath Bar candy, hazelnut coffee, and blueberry muffins. She had an extensive Mickey Mouse collection and orchids were her most favorite flower.

Mickey was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Jule and Luberta Livins. She is survived by her two children, Jason Clouser (Michera) Dallas, TX; Jennifer Clouser (Carlos) Houston, TX; four sisters - Terri Strum-Los Angeles, CA; Mimi Strum-New York, NY; Mary Beth Strum-Washington DC; Kelly Strum-Austin, Tx; three brothers - Timothy Strum-Houston, Tx; Joseph Strum-Baltimore, MD and David Strum (Teresa)-Houston, Tx; three grandchildren, Sophia, Claire, and Lucas; two nieces - Molly, Lora and one nephew David; a special childhood friend Loretta Henderson (Crystal); Godfather - Herbert Jones Jr (Maude Alice - preceded in death); and a host of beloved cousins, family, friends, co-workers and Lizzie, all of whom brought much joy to her life.

We will celebrate Mickey’s life Saturday December 18, 2021 at 3pm - Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008.
