Elizabeth Ann Peck Pollock (Rusty) was born on November 24, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a mother and homemaker and later provided senior care in St Petersburg, Florida and the Houston, Texas area. She attended Newcome College in New Orleans and studied English.
Rusty was an avid tennis player well into her 80s, and apparently also enjoyed an occasional cigar. She loved card games including bridge and gin rummy; and enjoyed baking cookies, playing dominoes and putting puzzles together. In her younger days she also enjoyed bowling and square dancing; and made a mean Chop Suey and Snow Pudding. She most recently lived at Vibrant Assisted Living in Spring, Texas. She loved her friends and the staff there like family. She was a helper and enjoyed assisting residents to meals and helping to coordinate social events.
Rusty is survived by daughters Cindy Deere (David) and Cathy Davis (Jeff), 2 granddaughters Jessie Deere Means (Jeremy) and Ginny Deere, and 1 great granddaughter Rowen Means. She is preceded in death by her father Harold Peck, her mother Margaret Logemann Peck and brother George Peck.
Rusty was essentially selfless. She just wanted the people around her to be happy; and is remembered as one who brought joy and helped others. She grew up in the Episcopal church and had a strong and sweet faith. Her family is thankful that she is now whole, without pain and safe in the arms of Jesus.
