She is predeceased by her loving husband, Allan Gordon Tackaberry III and survived by her daughter Hope Tackaberry, her son-in-law Mark Millard, grandson George Millard, and her sister Anne Witte Gerke. She is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Following her parent's footsteps, Elizabeth graduated from Rice University, and went on to earn her Masters of Education from the University of Hawaii. She worked as a teacher, a foreign-student advisor, and the director of a school for travel agents. Her favorite activities, however, were organizing groups of ladies for luncheons, playing bridge, and traveling the world. If she wasn't traveling, she was planning her next trip. As a lover of genealogy, Elizabeth never hesitated to share family stories, with family, friend, and stranger alike. She was a formidable spirit, a wonderful mother, a doting aunt and a life-long friend. She will be terribly missed.
