

Ernest Thomas Jackson, Jr. was born on December 28, 1961 in Galveston, TX to Ernest Thomas Jackson, Sr. and Mary M. Stupin Jackson. He was christened in the Catholic Church in Galveston. Ernie passed on to the Lord on January 3, 2015 at the age of 53 years and 5 days.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Jackson, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Mary M. Stupin Jackson of Pineland, TX. His sisters: Belinda and husband Tommy Welch of Pineland, and Becky and husband Mark Monakino of Houston. His nieces: Natasha McClelland of Pineland and Angela Monakino of Houston. His nephews: Jonathan Ansley of Pineland and Mark Anthony Monakino of Houston as well as 3 great nieces and 3 great nephews.
Ernie graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1980. After High School, Ernie served honorably in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. After the Navy, Ernie lived and worked in Houston as a glazier for nearly 30 years. He began as an apprentice and worked his way into a supervisor position. He was active and contributing member of the Glazier’s Union, District Council # 88.
Ernie was an avid hunter, sportsman, and reader. He was also a member of the VFW.
Ernie was a devoted son who dearly loved his sisters. Ernie was always willing to do anything for his nieces and nephews, and doted on his great nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his generosity, and will be greatly missed always.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home.
