Ervin was a WWII, Army Veteran and retired from Baker Hughes with 43 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Kaluza Siems and son, Danny Earl.
Survived by his wife, Marie Smaistrla; daughter Linda Sue Matejek and husband, Michael; son, Larry Wayne Siems and wife, Toni; grandchildren, Stacey Matejek, Tasha, Tiffany and Tanner Siems; great-grandchildren, Gabbie, Keigan, Karli, Kaitlyn and G'Angelo.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. A Wake service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Rev. Ben Smaistrla, celebrant. Rite if Committal will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
