Esperanza Gil, 94, was born in Eagle Pass, TX on March 6, 1922 and entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Gil, and siblings, Joe Aguirre, Yldefonso Aguirre, Jr., Maria Amparo Avila, Consuelo Ramirez, Luz Selvera and great-granddaughter Mercedes Mendoza.
Esperanza is survived by her children, Yolanda Silva (Arturo Silva), Maria Olga Mendoza (Guillermo Mendoza), Mary Irma Hernandez, and Dora Solis (Henry Solis); siblings, Jesse Aguirre, Ruth Garcia, Tony Aguirre, Alice Rivas, and Dolores Garza; grandchildren, Susan Capetillo, Stephen Ruiz, Joseph Longoria, Maria Teresa Ayres, Ramon Mendoza, Michael Gil, Debra Hernandez, Monica Longtin, Veronica Solis Lira, and Robert Solis; 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston, TX on Monday, November 7th from 5 to 9 pm with a Rosary that will be recited at 7 pm. A Funeral Service and burial will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 1 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
