Eunice Sharp Hibbeler, 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Bryan, TX. Born in Normangee, TX on September 27, 1921, Eunice graduated from Normangee High School and Sam Houston State Teachers College. She was an HISD elementary school teacher for 28 years. Mrs. Hibbeler was a longtime member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church, Houston and more recently First Baptist Church, Madisonville. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Emmett Sharp and husband of 7 years, John Hibbeler, she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Charlene Sharp, Garland, TX and Hal and Debbie Sharp, Bellaire, TX; grandchildren Kim and Terry Bourke, Lori and Greg Wilcox, Mindy and Chris Parker, Ryan Sharp, and Merideth Sharp; seven great grandchildren; brother Derwin Gustavus; sister Zela Hodges; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 6-8 pm and funeral services held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10 am in the Family Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, with Reverend Jim Flagg officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Amazing Place-Houston or CanCare.
