Everett Havemann, 88, passed away on May 14, 2026. Born April 16, 1938, on a farm in Fayetteville, Texas to Erwin & Edna Havemann, Everett carried forward the steady values of his upbringing—an honest, hard-working spirit, a gentle strength, and a quiet wisdom that shaped the way he lived and loved. He will be remembered as beloved and cherished by many, and as a devoted, faithful presence in the lives of those who were fortunate to know him.
Everett worked for Exxon for 38 years, a testament to his diligence and reliability. He took pride in a life built through consistent effort and integrity, and he enjoyed his retirement with the same grateful steadiness that marked his working years.
Everett was married to Lucille for 50 years, a bond defined by devotion and enduring love. Together they built a family that remained at the center of his world. His children are Stephen Havemann (Vivian Havemann), Christopher Havemann (Cyndee Sanders), Deborah Havemann, and Craig Havemann. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Amy Havemann, Cindy Moore (Brett Moore), Jason Havemann (Lupita Havemann), Jared Havemann, Katie Havemann, Elena Havemann, and Jake Everett Havemann, and through his great-grandchildren Olivia Havemann, Wyatt Havemann, and Aiden Everett Moore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Havemann, and his daughter-in-law, Martha Havemann.
To those closest to him, Everett was more than dependable—he was generous in spirit, kind-hearted in manner, and inspirational in the simple, lasting way he showed up for others. He also had a gift that never failed to lighten a room: he was a character, quick and witty, and always ready with a funny comeback that made people feel at ease and glad to be in his company.
Everett found deep enjoyment in the things that mattered most to him: family, golf, fishing, and woodworking. These were not merely pastimes, but the familiar places where his warmth and steady presence were most clearly felt—whether sharing time with loved ones, working with his hands, or enjoying the outdoors.
