Elizabeth was born to Shui Kin Tam and Wai King Wong on April 24, 1953, in Hong Kong. She graduated from Good Hope High School in Hong Kong in 1972 and received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Houston in 1977. She married Louis Lam in 1981, and together they raised two daughters.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Lam and Christine Yeh, son-in-law, Jason Yeh, and three grandchildren, Joshua, Addison, and Caleb Yeh. She also leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Betty and Fa-Yin, one brother, Fei-Shek, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers.
Elizabeth, or Liz as she was often known at the hospital, worked as a pharmacist for CompleteRX for 16 years and at St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 30 years before that. She enjoyed traveling, playing mahjong, growing beautiful plants, and to the chagrin of her daughters, Chinese opera.
