Felix H. Herrera

Felix H. Herrera (March 31, 1925 – January 16, 2016) a proud veteran of the United States Army, recently celebrated 60 years of marriage to Marcellina C. Herrera. He passed peacefully after he gave “Mamo” his wife one last kiss. His family feels blessed they were there to be a part of this beautiful memory. Felix is now in Heaven with his parents and 7 of 11 siblings. He is survived by 3 sisters: Andrea Tovar, Mary Peña and Susie Padilla.

Felix met Marce at the Rice Hotel where he was a long time employee. They were each other’s heart; they married and had two wonderful children; Letitia H Chalambaga and Vito C. Herrera. He is survived by Letitia and Isaac Chalambaga's 4 daughters: Angela C. Banister (spouse Andrew Banister), Erica H. Chalambaga, Lisa C. Demoss (spouse Adam Demoss) and Jessica C. Archie (spouse Joseph Archie). Felix’s 7 great grandchildren; David I. Durrett (11), Aidan C. Wright (9), Preston L. Pitarra (8), Brynleigh A. Demoss (4), Brody M. Demoss (4), Alexis L. Banister (3) and Cian P. Browne (3mo) will miss their “Papo” dearly. Papo’s loving heart and generosity will be remembered through the years.

Visitation and rosary will be held on Friday January 22, 2016 from 9:30-10:30am at St. Jerome Catholic Church located at 8825 Kempwood Dr, Houston, TX 77080 with a funeral service at 10:30am. There will be a procession to follow from St. Jerome Catholic Church to Houston National Cemetery where interment will take place.
