Forrest Delbert Long Jr., a beloved member of the Houston, TX community, passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on February 27, 1942, and lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and dedication to his country and loved ones.
Forrest was a proud veteran who served our nation in the Army and Army Reserves for four years. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duty, as he was actively involved in various organizations such as the VFW, National Rifle Association, Elks Lodge, and American Legion.
Those who knew Forrest described him as a loyal friend, avid runner, and always the life of the party with impeccable style. He was known for arriving in the cleanest Lincoln and shiny boots, making a lasting impression on everyone he met. Forrest's presence brought joy and laughter wherever he went, and his lifelong friendships were a testament to his kind and caring nature.
