George Anthony Singleton Jr.

George Anthony Singleton Jr., son of the late George and Ella Singleton was born in Marion, Arkansas on July 3, 1954 and departed this life on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in his home, while being cared for by his wife Sharon Humes-Singleton.

George had been failing in his health dealing with Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.

George received his education from the Pontiac School System and graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1973. George attended Michigan State University and was given the opportunity to attend the General Motors Institute for Honor Students.

George retired as a data analyst with Wyman Gordon, Houston, Texas in 2008.

George met Sharon in Lansing, Michigan and then married on August 20, 1983. George came into this relationship with a son, Kareeba Avery Singleton and Sharon with a daughter, Tri’Vante Elecka Sparrow. A perfect pairing.

George had a kind heart, loved his family and cherished his wife. So many people came with their love, help and support. So many and we thank you.

George leaves behind to mourn, his wife, Sharon Humes-Singleton of Houston, Texas. His brother, Calvin Singleton (Toni), Waterford, Michigan.One son, Kareeba Avery Singleton, Houston, Texas; One daughter, Tri’Vante Elecka Merchant (Jackie), Houston, Texas; Four grandsons, Caleb, Jamarius, Marquise, Kareeba and one granddaughter, Saniah Singleton; Three great grandsons and his nephew, Andre lamar Anthony, Lansing, Michigan. Along with a host of family and friends.

The memories we have of George will always be dear to our hearts. Although we mourn his passing, we will rejoice for the personal relationship he had with God. Rest peacefully in the arms of God.
