

Gloria Mae Stuart, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas, one of seven children of Joseph Arceneaux and Eutha Williams Arceneaux.
On August 1, 1953, Gloria married the love of her life, Leo Paul Stuart, and she loved to proclaim their seventy years of marriage. To them were born two daughters, Paula and Judy.
In her younger years,Gloria enjoyed dancing, league bowling and often talked about her perfect 300 game (when she won first place in a tournament). She took great pride in her work as a bookkeeper for J. Metz Inc., her boss and dear friend, Jimmy. She found joy in playing cards, visiting the casino, and hosting parties for herfamily and many friends. In her later years, she spent her leisure time watching the Game Show Network, playing scratch-offs, and rooting for the hometown teams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eutha; her husband, Leo; and her brothers, Joseph, Charles, and John.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Paula (Roger) Major and Judy (Rodney) McCray; her grandchildren, Keisha (Leroy) Hensley, Lerone (Yerika) Major, and Tiffany Sims; her great-grandchildren,Thristian Silas and Logan Hensley; her sisters, Barbara Harrison, Helen Renfro, and Lydia Roy; her sisters-in-law, Isabella Thomas, Jane Eva Arceneaux, Joy Arceneaux, and Sharon Arceneaux, along with other family members and friends who will miss her warmth, spirit, and laughter. Her memory will be held close in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
