Guadalupe Cantu

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Cantu, who left this world peacefully on December 22, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on June 22, 1953, to Juan Eugenio Cantu and Francisca Zamora. Guadalupe was a beacon of kindness and generosity throughout his life.

Guadalupe married the love of his life, Rosa Elia Ocanas, and together they created a warm and loving family. He is survived by his devoted children; son, Jorge Alberto Cantu and his wife Christine, daughter, Vivianne Cantu Lasala and her husband Jason, and daughter, Melissa Cantu Garcia and her husband Robert. His legacy continues through his six cherished grandchildren; Brennah Cantu Bowden and her husband Kaleb Thomas Bowden, Daylan Aaron Sisk, Zoie Victoria Garcia, Caiden Reese Lasala, Robert Garcia Jr. and Jaida Michelle Lasala.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Guadalupe dedicated his life to the happiness of his family. His unwavering love and support touched the lives of everyone around him. He also held a special place in his heart for his mother-in-law, Emma Ocanas, whom he adored.

Guadalupe was known for his vibrant spirit and his ability to lift the spirits of those around him. He will be deeply missed, but his warmth and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at noon at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
