Henrietta was born on October 17, 1930, in La Grange, Texas; she was the daughter of Adolph and Antonie Hajovsky. She grew up with ten brothers; Edmund, Jimmie, George, Adolph Jr., Albert, Frank, Charlie, Joe, Bernard and Bennie; and two sisters, Marie Ryza and Leona Kristek. She was the last surviving member of her parents and siblings and concludes a generation.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her beloved husband James J Neiser Sr of 53 years and her children Harold Neiser and Michael Neiser. Henrietta is survived by her children: James Neiser Jr and wife Patricia; Gail Neiser wife of deceased son Harold Neiser; Janet Weatherred and husband Wes; Diane MaGee and husband Neill, Patricia Nichols and husband Brad; and Stephen Neiser. Henrietta leaves behind 12 grandchildren, John, Mark, Marijane, Travis, Jamie, Sarah, Misty, Savannah, Brandon, Matthew, Kasey, Stephen Jr. and 14 great-grandchildren, Mikael, Wyatt, Waverly, Aeson, Evrik, Robert (Harry), Theodore (Teddy), Daegan, London, Olivia, Caroline, Caldwell, Samual, and James.
Henrietta was a lifelong member of St. Jerome Church, St. Jerome Senior Adults, Altar Society, a member of Texas Catholic Women Fraternal of Texas (K.J.Z.T), American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and an avid member with her husband James of the P.O.L.K. of A Dance Club.
Henrietta was a devoted and loving mother, grandma, and great grandma who raised her seven children with patience, unconditional regard, and spiritual guidance. Her most remarkable achievement, which she graciously accepted, was the development of Michael, her son, who was a special needs child and she, in a quiet and uncomplaining manner, took him through the trials and tribulations leading him to be a productive, independent and loving child along with the support of Reach Unlimited to whom we will be forever grateful.
Henrietta is especially known for her kindness, her gratefulness and many “thank you’s” and never complaining but accepting God’s will and always thankful for any help and support. Henrietta was a deeply spiritual person who prayed every day and sought guidance in her life. So often and from so many we would hear people describe how she was such a good, caring, and loving person. No better testament could be provided for any of us and we are grateful.
The family wishes to thank Spring Cypress Senior Living and Altus Hospice for helping our Mother live her final days and especially Savannah, her granddaughter, who served as her angel for many years with weekly care and support until her final passing. No greater gift could have been given. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial contribution be directed to St. Jerome Catholic Church, or a charity of your choice.
Her family will receive friends at Waltrip Funeral Home,1415 Campbell at Westview, Thursday March 12 at 5:00pm, with a rosary and prayers to follow at 6:00pm and an open reception afterwards at Waltrip. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday March 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood with Father Jonathan Moré as the celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow as a private family ceremony at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. There will be no reception following the burial.
Let us all celebrate the long and wonderful life of Henrietta.
