Wesley Herman Smith, 78, went to Heaven Dec.10, 2014. Herman was a 1955 graduate of Pasadena High School and served in the US Army. He was a Pasadena Volunteer Fireman and also served as Fire Chief during his 10 years of Service. Herman retired from Goodyear after 37 years. He was a La Porte, TX resident and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in La Porte, Texas. Herman was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Lessie Smith and his son David W Smith. He is survived by his wife Shirley Smith, daughters Kelly Smith Schwab & husband Drew, Sheila Liles & husband J.W., and Angela Cook, 5 Grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be at Forest Park Lawndale. Visitation Monday Dec 15 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral will be in Chapel of Angels, Dec 16 at 10:00am in Forest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donation to Lighthouse Baptist Church - Parking Lot Fund. 701 San Jacinto La Porte, Tx. 77571. This was very near & dear to Herman's heart.
