Ima Valentine Brooks Saxon, 93, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Born February 14, 1923 in Mountain View, Oklahoma she had lived in Houston for 62 years. Preceded in death by her husband John Dee Saxon, her son Gary Lynn Saxon and daughter Linda Susan Saxon Guerrero and granddaughter Lana Marie Saxon. She is survived by her son John Brooks Saxon, grandchildren Kimberly Sue Saxon Chapman, Pamela Kay Saxon King, Cynthia Lynn Saxon Cox, Scott Merrill Saxon, Jeffery Lynn Saxon, Charles Michael Wilder, Jennifer Ann Wilder, John Ladin Guererro, numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Always very active in her Church, she was a member of Central Park United Methodist Church, then Kirkwood South Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She loved her Church music and sang in the choir until age 92.
