Imelda G. Salazar

She is survived by her son Dr. Jose M. Salazar and her daughters Marilu Gonzalez, Nancy Flores, Norma Ordoñez, and Karina Ochoa. She also leaves a legacy with all her grandchildren - Aracely Berlanga, Marcos Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, Leslie Salazar, Monica Flores, Ashley Flores, Giovanni Ordoñez, Ivan Ordoñez, Luis Ochoa, Chelsey Ochoa de Cintron, Eduardo Ochoa, Brianna Ochoa, Cristian Ochoa, Arcelia Gonzalez, Isabel Tijerina, Jaime Berlanga. Along with them are her great-grandchildren Isaias, Jonathan, Jasmine, Jaime, Valeria, Melanie, Bryan, Erick, Valentina and Joaquin.

She will dearly be missed by her sisters San Juana Garza, Felipa Garza Tienda and brother Leoncio Garza, sisters in-law Catalina Castro, Eloisa Salazar, Sofia Salazar and by her nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Salazar Olvera, parents Leoncio Garza and Manuela Garza, brother Antonio Garza and wife Tomasa, sister Emelia Garza and husband Santos Martinez, sister Rosita Campos Sánchez and husband Alfredo Sánchez, nephew Héctor Martinez, and granddaughter Cassandra Astrid Flores.

She loved watching TV, listening to music, sitting outside on the rocking chair, taking care of her rose garden, and helping Nancy organize her schoolwork. She also loved decorating her house for Christmas and for every birthday celebration. Playing mexican loteria, watching novelas and movies were some of her favorite things to do to pass time. Drinking café with pan dulce, or a coke with pastel de tres leches were her favorite snacks and her favorite dish were chiles rellenos and cabrito. She never forgot to spoil her grandchildren by ensuring that they always received a birthday gift.

Religious Service will be on Sunday July 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. delivered by: Fr. Jorge Alvarado, CCC Director
