Isabella, lovingly known as “Cherry”, was one of eight children born to Giacinta and Ercole Ventresca. Cherry was born in Rosharon, Texas on October 13, 1914 and passed away quietly on March 25th, 2016. As the oldest living sibling, 103 years of age, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Alfina V Gennusa, Attilio Thomas Ventresca, Nick Ventresca, Lennie Ventresca, Hercules Bruno Ventresca, Henry Buddy Ventresca, and Lorene (Sissy) Garson and is survived by several nieces and nephews. After an early graduation from Sam Houston High School at the age of sixteen she worked as a civil servant in Washington DC for several years. After obtaining a security clearance she returned to Houston Texas to work at Ellington Air Force Base in the Security Department where she eventually retired. For many years after her retirement she organized the Ellington Reunion which was quite a task. All of her nieces and nephews have fond memories of her for all the wonderful things she did for them. She was a very faithful Catholic and attended church religiously. Aunt Cherry was a kind, devoted, loving and loyal person. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
