

Born January 9, 1920 to Mr. John B. Palmer and Mable Marie Noblott and passed away October 23, 2014.
She was the oldest of 12 children and was a mother to all her younger brothers and sisters as her mother was not in the best of health.
She graduated from Vienna Missouri High School. She held a teachers certificate from the state of Missouri.
It was in the middle of the big depressions and all types of jobs were not available. So she was not able to teach. She went on to study nursing and was one of the nurses assigned to a large hospital ward with ill soldiers. One of which was her future husband. They were married on April 8, 1941. To this union 3 children were born. One son, Robert Eugene Kucera and husband, William S. Kucera Sr. preceded her in death. She is survived by son William Kucera Jr.; daughter, Janet Irene Curtis and one sister, Mary Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Palmer; brothers John L. Palmer, Sylvester Palmer, Thomas W. Palmer, David P. Palmer, Norman Palmer, and Wayne C. Palmer; sisters Naomi Kucera, Irene Powell, Violet June, and Normandene Palmer.
She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church since 1949. They were lovers of polka and members of; S.P.J.S.T. #88 Houston, Texas for many years, Glenbrook Valley Civic Club, James Tate Chapter of Daughters of American revolution, Life member of Auxiliary American Vietnam Post #2, and Mary’s County Historical Society.
She was a direct descent of some of the first families in America. She was an avid Genealogist and wrote several biography books. She was a great cook and crocheted many beautiful things for family and friends.
She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Great-grandsons Michael William Pennington and Joshua Pennington preceded their great-grandmother in death.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale on Monday, October 27th with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 27th at 10 a.m., interment will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Pallbearers include; Norman William Pennington, Paul Pennington, Robert Lynn Pennington, Dr. Lynn Alan Palmer, Dr. Kyle W. Kucera, and Tommy Kucera. Honorary Pallbearers include; Dr. Kristine Jane Kucera and Rebecca Jane Pennington, members of Auxiliary American Vietnam Post #2.
