Javier “Gusano” Galera Jr., hijo, hermano, nieto, sobrino, primo y amigo por siempre amado.

Javier falleció el martes 15 de octubre de 2024 a sus 27 años rodeado de su familia. Su partida deja un vacío inmenso que será imposible de llenar. Pero más allá del dolor, queremos recordar lo maravilloso que es, su generosidad, alegría y ese espíritu siempre dispuesto a compartir con los demás. Su legado de amor, bondad y alegría seguirá vivo en cada uno de nosotros. Nos dio el mejor ejemplo de lo que significa ser generoso, noble y valiente.

Javier nació en Houston, TX el 14 de enero de 1997 e instantáneamente trajo luz y felicidad a las vidas de muchos. Cuando era niño, Javier siempre con su espíritu feliz, afortunado, amado y extraordinario que lo acompañaría a lo largo de su vida.

A medida que crecía, su inteligencia y bondad siempre brillaban; como su amor por el conocimiento y el aprendizaje. Le apasionaba descubrir cosas nuevas sobre el mundo que lo rodeaba, ya sea a través de documentales o videos y luego contarle a su familia lo que aprendió. También le encantaba ver deportes, desde fútbol y baloncesto hasta UFC y carreras de Fórmula 1. Javier también era un ávido coleccionista de camisas, gorras y zapatos que para todos eran geniales. Disfrutaba escuchando música de cualquier género y asistiendo a conciertos de sus artistas favoritos. Sobre todo, muchas de las cosas que disfrutaba, disfrutaba haciendo con sus seres queridos. Su espíritu amable estará en los corazones de todos los que tocó.

A lo largo de los años construimos tantos recuerdos que ahora se vuelven tesoros invaluables. Cada conversación, cada risa, cada abrazo que compartimos con él nos acompañará siempre.

Su esencia se queda en una madre orgullosa, Socorro Cruz, ella guarda en su memoria cada paso que diste, cada triunfo y enseñanza que compartiste con nosotros. Para ella siempre será su hijo querido, su mayor motivo de orgullo. También, en un padre lleno de admiración, Javier Galera, él ve en ti la fuerza, el coraje y la nobleza que hacen a un hombre grande, lleva en su corazón la gratitud de haber compartido su vida contigo. Además, en sus hermanas menores que siempre llevan su recuerdo en el corazón, Marlene y Alondra Galera, para quien es su confidente y compañero de vida, les deja sus valores, enseñanza y cariño y con eso seguirás presente en cada momento de sus vidas.

Javier, nos enseñaste tantas cosas, no solo con palabras, sino con tu ejemplo, la importancia de la familia, la fortaleza para enfrentar la vida con valentía y corazón abierto. La vida no será la misma sin ti, pero tu memoria nos dará la fortaleza para seguir adelante con el amor que nos diste y que nunca se ira.

Te amamos y te extrañaremos, pero esta vida, siempre estarás con tu familia.

Un velorio para Javier se llevará a cabo el martes 22 de octubre de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. en Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, EE. TX 77060. La misa se llevará a cabo el miércoles 23 de octubre a la 1:30 PM en la Iglesia Católica Asunción, 901 Roselane St, Houston, TX 77037. El funeral se llevará a cabo justo después de la misa, el miércoles 22 de octubre a las 3:00 PM en la funeraria Earthman Resthaven y cementerio, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.

Javier “Gusano” Galera Jr., son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, forever in our hearts.

Javier passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at age 27 surrounded by his family. His departure leaves an immense void that will be impossible to fill. But beyond the pain, we want to remember how wonderful he is, his generosity, joy and his spirit that is always willing to share with others. His legacy of love, kindness and joy will live on in each of us. He gave us the best example of what it means to be generous, noble and brave.

Javier was born on January 14th, 1997 in Houston, Texas, and instantly brought light and happiness to the lives of many. When he was a child, Javier was always happy-go-lucky, kind and had an extraordinary spirit that would accompany him throughout his life.

As he grew, his intelligence and goodness always shone; like his love of knowledge and learning. He was passionate about discovering new things about the world around him, whether through documentaries or videos, and then telling his family what he learned. He also loved watching sports, from football and basketball to UFC and Formula 1 races. Javier was also an avid collector of shirts, hats and shoes. He enjoyed listening to music of any genre and attending concerts by his favorite artists. Above all, many of the things he enjoyed, he enjoyed doing with his loved ones. His kind spirit will be in the hearts of all he touched.

Over the years we built so many memories that now become priceless treasures. Every conversation, every laugh, every hug we share with him will always be with us.

His essence remains in a proud mother, Socorro Cruz, she keeps in her memory every step he took, every triumph and teaching he shared with us. For her, Javier will always be her dear child, her greatest source of pride. Also, in a father full of admiration, Javier Galera, he sees in Javier the strength, courage and nobility that make a great man. He carries in his heart the gratitude of having shared his life with you. In addition, his younger sisters, Marlene and Alondra Galera, who will always carry the memories they shared with Javier in their hearts. Javier is their confidant and life companion and he leaves them his values, teachings and affection and with that he will remain present in every moment of their lives.

Javier, you taught us so many things, not only with words, but with your example; the importance of family, and the strength to face life with courage and an open heart. Life will not be the same without you, but your memory will give us the strength to move forward with the love you gave us and that will never go away.

We love you and we will miss you, but in this life, you will always be with your family.

A wake for Javier will take place on Tuesday, October 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, USA. TX 77060. Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 23 at 1:30 PM at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Roselane St, Houston, TX 77037. The funeral will take place right after mass, on Wednesday, October 22 at 3:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060
