was born in Houston, TX on January 3, 1968 to Dr. and Mrs. Alvin Johannas Van Ostrom. She
lived in Houston until 1979 when her family moved to Tyler, TX. Jayme graduated from High
School in 1986. She then attended International Bible College in San Antonio where she
received a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies in 1995. She was an active member at both
Great Grace International Christian Center and Best Westover Hills Assembly of God in San
Antonio. Jayme enjoyed doing crochet until her stroke July 28, 2011. Her newfound
passion was doing genealogy research.
Although Jayme will be greatly missed in the days ahead, she has gone home to her
reward in Heaven and is in a much better place.
Jayme is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Alvin Johannas Van Ostrom, mother, Nancy
Hodges Van Ostrom and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Jayme leaves behind her fiancé Kevin Wayne Crossan. Family members, Susan Nanette Van
Ostrom, Dorothea L. Walker, Lauri Van Ostrom-Hall, nephews, James David Hall, and Peter
Alvin Johannas Hall and multiple great nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Forest Park Lawndale-
Houston, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023. Visitation is from 12pm-1pm, Funeral Service
follows at 1pm with gravesite immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale.
