Jean Annette Rogers Windham

Jean Annette Rogers Windham was born January 1, 1934 at old Heights Hospital on West 20th Street in Houston, Texas. She died on March 23, 2012. Jean was the daughter and only child of O. Holt and Jewell Jackson Rogers of Houston. She graduated from Reagan High School in January of 1952. She was preceeded in death by her parents, and grandson Isaiah Windham. She is survived by her husband of 56 plus years Charles A. Windham; son Paul Windham, his wife Vicki, and their sons Ian and Isaac Windham; son Roger Windham and his wife Renee; daughter Robin Ware and her husband John; their daughter Dr. Meredith Morrow and her husband Chris, and their son Tristan Ware. She was affectionately known as "Gova" to family and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Brookside Memorial Park, 13401 Eastex Freeway in Houston.Pallbearers are her grandsons, Ian and Isaac Windham, Tristan Ware, her grandson-in-law, Chris Morrow, and adopted grandsons Stephen Windham and Kamar Adeneji-Adele.
