Jennifer Diane Wooten

Jennifer Diane Wooten passed from this earth to be with her Lord on August 19, 2021. She joined her beloved mother, Cynthia Harrison Wooten; her grandparents: Joseph and Lillian Harrison, Clarence and Hazel Wooten, Bill and Betty Lantrip; Step-brother, Steve D. Nichols. She is survived by her loving son, Colin Wooten; father and step-mother Richard and Florence Wooten; brother, Paul Wooten; Step-brothers, Troy and Beau Nichols; Her many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins all deeply mourn her passing.

Jennifer was born in Houston on November 10, 1972. She attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, Seton Jr High, and St. Pius X High School where she graduated in May,1991. She worked with students as a teacher assistant and in an afterschool program at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, Houston where she helped with homework and was known to lift an eyebrow to achieve calm in class. She rewarded them with her smile afterwards. She also worked for various pet service organizations and companies including Banfield and SNAP, after her certification as a veterinary tech. She tried to learn as much as she could about treatments. Her desire was to provide the best for the animals entrusted to her care. Jennifer (Punkin) loved dragonflies, butterflies, all kinds of pets, and in her role as veterinary assistant, her pet patients. The family was so moved by the outpouring of love from co-workers and friends at a memorial vigil put together by her dear friend Ava Heathmon at Cy-Fair Animal Hospital on Friday, August 20, 2021. The tributes of candles, flowers, pictures, mementos, balloons gave courage to all mourning Jenn. She is gone too soon. Her smile, laughter, hugs, supporting ways with family, friends, and acquaintances, will be greatly missed.
