David’s church that organized the trip. In Israel he had a spiritual awakening and change in his
faith. While at the Wailing Wall praying, he encountered God in a new way. He had always
believed there was a God but his time in Israel changed his relationship with Jesus. He had a
new understanding of who Jesus was and the price Jesus paid for his sins and the sins of the
world. So much so that he took believer’s baptism and was baptized in the Jordan River.
Jesse is survived by his sister, Cynthia J. Garza (Cindy) and brother, David A. Serna, many
