Jewel Marie Jefferson

Jewel Marie Jefferson was born on December 13, 1949.  She was the first of six children born to John L. Gant and Geraldine Fowler in Houston, Texas.   Jewel dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 6, 1974.  Her faith is what kept her strong through many of life’s trials.  Even after a gradual decline in health, she continued to enjoy the privilege of serving Jehovah God.   She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, dominos and socializing with family and friends.  She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.   Jewel was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine Fowler; father John L. Gant; step father Herbert Hoover Fowler; sisters Betty Smith, Patricia Harris and Beverly Bradley.   Left to cherish her memories are:  her daughters Cassie Johnson, Delisa Gant, Kishone Jefferson and Tisha Jefferson; brothers John Gant and Alvin Gant; son-in-law Eddie Johnson; grandchildren Tierra Brigham, Cantrell Jefferson, Terrence Duncan, Shirah Gant, Glindria Gant, Kieodrick Gant, Laquisha Jefferson, Lonnie Higgins, Deontrey Jefferson, Decorey Jefferson, Arie Jefferson, Great grandchildren; Elayna Prophet, Ariel Alexander, Jasmine Prophet, Terrence Duncan III, Jayden Terell, Kiranae Gant, Kemuel Gould, Shakira Williams, Akyria Williams, Khamarion Williams, Anijah Gant, Timothy Demart, Jayden Demart, Kamya Gould, Shmya Pratt, LaMarcus Gant, João Vitor Kuhn Gant, Andrew Kuhn Gant and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
