Our sincere sympathy.  Jimmie was a very nice lady who taught us many things about the antique glass she loved.  We will miss her.  Our thoughts are with her family.

I miss my other "Club Info Booth Buddy" -- Jimmie and I shared Sunday morning duty at our Houston Glass Club's annual Glass & Antique Show & Sale each August.  Of course, we enjoyed chatting with other folks and with each other then and at other times -- with vintage glass, jewelry, and Jimmie's cats favorite topics!  Jimmie was an upbeat, gallant lady despite her health problems, a positive FORCE for anyone who knew her.

I always enjoyed visiting with Jimmie, even if only for a few minutes at a time.  She had some interesting stories and we shared a bond of SMU. She had a great sense of humor and a zest for life that was displayed through her infectious laugh.  I am sad that she has departed, but very glad to have known her.  My best wishes to those who were closest to her.

Who that knew her at FMC would not remember Jimmie Ashworth? Carol and I always thought of Jimmie as a fearless pioneer: working anonymously in a back room entering data into a mysterious computer back when most of us had no idea what that newfangled contraption would or could do; then coming out into the open when Order Entry closed and she was moved to the company's Reception Room where she was the face and voice of FMC as chief hostess and communications director. Jimmie was a stalwart worker, doing her job with a quiet professionalism. That we did not know her private side was surely our loss. Farewell to a former co-worker who left her mark as a valued member of the team.
