Joel R. Hernandez, 93, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. Mr. Hernandez served in World War II under General George Patton. He is survived by his wife Gloria Hernandez, son Mario Hernandez and his wife Thelma, daughters; Gilda Orta and Barbara Rosela MacGuire, 8 Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 18, 2010, 5pm – 9pm. The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, August 19, 2010, 10:30am at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
