

John Clifton Butos, 53, passed away into life's greatest adventure on Saturday, September 27, 2014. He was born on January 31, 1961 in Houston, Texas to proud parents Chris and Mary Louise (Albritton) Butos. John was a loving, curious, precocious and very active child from an early age, he enlivened the lives of all those who knew him. He attended St. John's Elementary School, Second Baptist Junior High and St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas. John attended theUniversity of Texasat Dallas, where he met and married his first love, Laureen Fischer. From this union his only son, Chase Ryan Butos, was born. John was particularly proud of the fact that Chase was excelling in his studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. He was an avid outdoors man, John enjoyed surfing, swimming, and hitting the open rode on his Harley. He had many interests, but was happiest spending time with his family and many friends at his delightfully eclectic home in Garden Villas. His charm and casual elegance, along with his kindness to those in need of a helping hand will all be very much missed by all who knew him. John was a very gifted master electrician who started his own company, JCB Lighting & Control. Examples of his beautifully planned and meticulously executed work can be found all over Houston, Texas. John was preceded in death by his father, Chris Butos. He is survived by his cherished only son, Chase Ryan Butos, his loving mother, Mary Louise Butos, his beloved brother, Peter Butos and sister-in-law, Susan Butos, his nieces, Makenzie, Madelyn and Emily Butos and his nephew, Christopher Butos (who were all much loved by their proud “Uncle). Doo”).He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Charlie, Pepper and Stella. The family wishes to thank Jean Rochelle, Dylan Hampsten and his many other neighbors and friends for their kindness and help to John over the years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, in the Chapel of the Angels at Forest Park Funeral Home (6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, Texas 77023, 713-928-5141) with internment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery directly after the services. Peter Butos, Christopher Butos, Jon Deal, Rob Albritton, Dylan Hampsten, and Dan Borchardt will perform the honorable duties of pallbearers.
