He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an active member of the American Legion. Following his military service, he built a lifelong career as an electrician.
A faithful man, Johnny was married for 52 years, sharing a bond grounded in faith, laughter, and devotion. He was a proud and dedicated father to his two daughters, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams and reminding them of the importance of family, hard work, and faith in God. As a grandfather, he cherished the moments spent with his four grandsons— always celebrating their accomplishments with joy and pride.
He loved reminiscing about the “good old days,” sharing stories that sparked laughter and connection. Some of his happiest moments were spent at the grill, serving his delicious bbq chicken to family and friends or cheering on his favorite college football teams. Yet his greatest peace came from tending his garden, where his patient care made everything flourish—especially his beloved tangerine trees, a true reflection of the love and joy he cultivated in life.
Johnny lived his Christian faith through daily acts of kindness and service. His walk with God was evident in how he encouraged others, offered help, and prayed for those in need. Generous and welcoming, he never let anyone leave empty-handed—finding joy in sharing his blessings. His life reflected faith, hard work, and love for family and community. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
