John was born in Houston September 21, 1949 to John M. and Frances Ryan Skelton. He was raised in Spring Branch, graduated from Spring Woods High School and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy.
Besides his parents, John is survived by Mickey, his wife of 29 years; brother, Craig W. Skelton and wife Candy of Corpus Christi; aunt, Martha Johnson of Austin; nieces, Lisa Skelton of Austin and Katy Skelton of Savannah, GA and numerous cousins in the Houston area.
Services will be 10:00am Saturday, September 11th in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors with Rev. Robert Luton officiating.
Private burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
