Jon Michael Murray

Jon led a wonderfully fulfilling life. Driven by a love for creating and building, Jon was a self-taught engineer, accountant, and architect. He built his business from the ground up and found tremendous success with his steel construction company, yet never forgot his humble beginnings in Sealy, Texas.

A man with great compassion and an immensely generous heart, Jon was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with those he cared for, and cooking was often how he showed his love. In 2009, he married the love of his life, Deborah, and took every opportunity with her to travel, experience new things, and create memories.

Jon was born to Audrey and George Murray on June 21, 1946, and was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry. He is survived by his sons David, Thomas, and Robert, and preceded in death by his son Jon. His wife, Deborah, and her two sons, Wayne and Brian, also survive him. He was a grandfather to 12 wonderful grandkids.

Jon remains in our thoughts and prayers, and will be deeply missed every day.

A visitation for Jon will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Rd, Houston, TX 77065.
