I think of you everyday little brother. I miss you so much... I know you are in a better place away from all the craziness. I will continue to hold you in my heart until i see you again......

One memory of Trey, I'd like to share... 

Around late 94'- early 95', Trey could not have been more than a year and a half years of age. I remember visiting his grandparents' house. The whole family seemed to be there. I sat in the living room, watching the activity around me. Next thing, Terry walks through the front door with "little" Trey. "Hey Jimmy!!", she said, with her usual smile. She sat down not far from me and put Trey down. I remarked that this must be my new cousin. Little Trey was quite something. This little person was not much taller than my knee. But I was amazed by the vibrancy with which he observed and explored his surroundings. I watched as he toddled over, holding on, first to the coffee table then to the end table with a lamp on it. All the while looking at me with big, bright, piercing eyes. I smiled. He then proceeded to rock back and forth while holding on to that end table. To my astonishment, he was moving the table and everything on it. Something I was not expecting from such a young and little person. He did this while looking straight at me, in the eye. It seemed as though he was making a statement that he is here to rock the world."I see you little man.", I thought.

Fast forward some years later. Again, I am visiting his grandparents' house. Trey, now a teenager, walks through the door."He had grown tall, strong, and confident.", I thought. We talked for a bit. He was quiet at first, but as the conversation progressed I could tell that there was a depth to him that you did not usually see in people so young.
He then went on his way to greet his grandmother in the kitchen."He is quite a young man.", I thought. Every time I was in his company, I was impressed with who he was and who he was becoming.

Every time I talked with his grandmother, over the phone, she would emote love and admiration for her grandson. He was someone who would move mountains.

I was struck when I heard the news. The loss of someone that young. The young man, my little cousin. I do not know what to say. Loss is a shock to the mind, body and soul. Those of you, who read this, who know me, know that I am a quiet person. I do not express or emote very much. 

To my family in pain, know that I love you. I pray for you.

Know that your hopes and aspirations for Trey were real.

He was a person who would loom large. He was a person who would move mountains.

He loomed large in the lives of those he touched.

The mountains he moved were not of the material world, but of the human heart. He moved the mountains within our hearts....a much greater feat in the eyes of God.
